PSYCHOTHERAPIST POSITION


Cornerstone Brief Therapy of Cedar Rapids and Coralville is looking to fill a full-time psychotherapist position. All independent (permanent) licensed mental health professionals can apply (LMFT; LMHC; LISW; Psychologist). This is a position of approximately 30 hours of clients per week that can be seen during daytime, evening and weekend hours in both of our offices. An experienced strengths, post-structural approach (solution-focused, narrative, language theory) therapist is desired; or someone with the desire to become proficient in these approaches. Many clients are served with a Christian faith preference. Annual income can range between 60K to 100K depending on the therapist's client load and work ethic. CLASSIFICATION: Psychologist

POSITION OPEN: 1.00 FTE

LOCATION: Fort Dodge or Mason City - Performs duties District-wide

SCHEDULE

Variable; as needed to perform assigned duties. Generally Monday-Friday 8-4:30, however flexibility in scheduling is necessary to accommodate work duties including travel and group facilitation.

SALARY

Schedule 014, Grade 30: Hourly: $24.61 - $38.17

GENERAL DUTIES

Conducts Psychosexual Assessments to include clinical interview, psychological testing/test interpretation, risk assessment on adult sex offenders under the direction of the Sex Offender Program Supervisor. Provides professional services to sex offenders and other special needs offenders through testing, counseling, behavior modification, and psychological/sexual assessment. Provides clinical supervision for Department’s Sex Offender Programs. Conducts group and individual counseling with sex offenders, as assigned. Performs related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from a Master’s degree program in psychology, counseling or social work at an accredited college or university, and the equivalent of two years of full-time post-Master’s degree work experience as a psychologist, counselor or social worker in any setting; or Graduation from an approved Doctorate degree program in psychology, counseling or social work; or The equivalent of twelve months of full-time experience as a Psychologist 1 in state service will be considered as qualifying.

PREFERRED

Certification at the Sex Offender Treatment Professional (SOTP) II level by the Iowa Board for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.

PLUS, ability to travel to various work sites throughout 22 counties in north central Iowa, possession/ability to obtain a valid driver's license, insurability under District's auto insurance coverage. All interviewees are required to take Psychological Assessments. Additional Requirements: Must be bondable to the amount of bond required for the position. Considering reasonable accommodation under the ADA must be able to perform essential functions of the position. Must pass background investigation, including criminal history data, if candidate selected for hire.
